Summer Music in Flat Rock will present a special concert Saturday, June 4, featuring local singer/songwriter Tom Fisch.
Fisch’s original country folk style has gained him recognition and awards with several of his songs being performed by singers and groups like The Oak Ridge Boys. He has shared the stage with Grammy award winner Jim Lauderdale, Kim Richie and Jonathan Edwards. After a dozen years in Nashville pursuing his music writing career, Fisch moved to Flat Rock and has been performing throughout this region. He will have his new CD, October Boy available for sale at the event. For more information about his music, go to www.tomfisch.com .
The concert will be held in Flat Rock on Little Rainbow Row’s back deck (behind the shops, corner of Greenville Highway and West Blue Ridge Road) from 6-8 p.m.
This is a casual, family oriented, bring-your-lawn-chair outdoor event, weather permitting. Food and beverages will be available from Flat Rock Village Bakery and Hubba Hubba Smokehouse. Off-street parking will be designated with limited handicap accessibility.
Concerts are held on the first Saturday of the month through October. Scheduled concerts for the remainder of the season are: July 2-The Honeycutters, August 6-Sally Barris, September 3-Chris Rosser, October 1-Eliza Lynn.
