WNC Quilters Guild celebrates National Quilting Day with March 19 exhibit

Western North Carolina Quilters Guild celebrates National Quilting Day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 19, at Blue Ridge Mall on Four Seasons Boulevard, Hendersonville. The event is free.

Created in 1991, National Quilting Day celebrates the traditions of quilt making and contributions quilt makers have made to their families and communities for generations.

WNC Quilters Guild will present an exhibit of challenge quilts incorporating the theme, “Home.” Viewers may each vote for a favorite quilt to determine the Viewers’ Choice Awards. Guild members will present quilting demonstrations throughout the day.
